Main Activity

Hour of Code is available year-round, but every year in December your class can join millions of students around the world celebrating Computer Science Education Week with the Hour of Code. Registration for the annual celebration starts each year in September.

Visit their main page, here, or explore the variety of activities they have here. There are activities for every grade level, ability level, and interest!

Tips for Running Activity

  • Be flexible – if and when tech issues arise allow flexibility in implementation and plan for extra time to complete the activity.
  • Allow for sharing and celebrating creations made.
  • Estimate the “lines of code” or “blocks of code” used during the hour and share out! Next year try to break that record!
