Elementary
There are many ways that a school or district can implement elementary computer science and schools across the state all do it a bit differently. According to the July 2025, Next Level CS Program Biannual Report, 47% of K-5 students receive CS education through a required specials, rotation, or standalone class and approximately 30% of students receive CS instruction integrated into science or other content areas.
Middle School
Though there are many different options to teach a standalone CS course in middle school, Nextech suggests Code.org CS Discoveries. This course is an introductory course that empowers students to create authentic computer science artifacts empowering their creativity while showing middle schoolers that CS is a medium for communication, problem solving, and fun.
High School
Nextech strives to offer a solution for most high school courses on the Next Level Program of Study Computer Science and Software Development pathways.
